The village of Palekastro is situated in the eastern side of Crete, just 19km from Sitia town. The area is popular for its archeological findings and its beautiful beaches.

Within 2km from the village stands Toplou Monastery widely known for it's history and the biological products it produces.

The nwely built "Lagos Apartments" are located 200m outside Palekastro village and just 1km "kouremenos" beach one of the most renowned surf beaches, in Europe. Chiona beach is also 1km from there and "Vai" beach the unique world famous natural palmtree forest just 5km away.

The ruins of the ancient town "Itanos" can also be viewed 9 km outside Palekastro, a section of which is beneath sea level.

Sitia is in the far east side of Crete. It is a coastal town built in a semicicle and it is the capital of the country with the same name. Sitia is renowned for it's hospitality, and ideal place for everyday pleasures.
